Leonora “Nora” Galleros-Tinio, CPA, MBA, is a barrier-breaking leader in the accounting profession and a passionate advocate for the Filipino community. As Chief Executive Officer of Galleros Robinson CPAs, LLP, Nora leads a firm of over 90 professionals with offices across the U.S. and the Philippines. With more than 30 years of experience in assurance and consulting services, she is known not only for her technical excellence but also for mentoring professionals and advocating work-life balance.
A native of Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, Nora’s rise from staff accountant to becoming the first woman and youngest Partner at Watson Rice LLP and the first Asian Partner at PKF O’Connor Davies LLP speaks to her resilience and pioneering spirit. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Christ the King College in the Philippines and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, New Jersey.
Nora has created pathways for Filipino accountants to gain employment in the U.S., championing recruitment through H1B and J1 visa programs. Her deep pride in the talents and dedication of Philippine-trained professionals drives her continued advocacy.
Her commitment to cultural preservation and civic leadership is reflected in her role as Executive Director and past President of the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI). She also served as National President of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), among other leadership roles.
Nora has been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2025 Icons of Impact by JCI Philippine–New York, 2024 Woman of Worth by Friends Indeed USA and The Society of Foreign Consults in New York for her exceptional achievements and community contributions, 2019 Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World by the Filipina Women’s Network and the 2018 The Outstanding Filipino in America (TOFA), among others. In 2023, she was featured in CNN Philippines’ “The Filipinos”, highlighting her inspiring journey from the Philippines to the forefront of the accounting profession in the United States.
